Gather Virtual Production Studio

Overview

Virtual Production Studio (VPS) is an enterprise mixed reality toolkit intended to be used in live broadcast and recorded video production workflow. At it's core, VPS functions by ingesting live video content from local or remote sources and virtually placing the video into the “Virtual Production Studio”. This video content can be placed in the virtual set on “virtual screens” built into the set, or on “virtual greenscreens”. Video sent to “virtual greenscreens” will have tunable chroma key removal applied to remove solid color background allowing a presenter to appear as if they are placed inside of the virtual set.

Release Information

Gather Interactive intends to make "Virtual Production Studio" available to test in an invited Alpha test November 2022 and expand testing to closed Beta by December 2022, with a projected release to the public Q1 2023. We also plan to utilize VPS internally as part of the services we provide our clients as part of our Broadcast and Live Streaming offerings beginning Fall 2022.

Broadcast Signal Flow Diagram
